A break from harmful healthism, diet culture, and anti-fatness is our top priority in all of our spaces and offerings.
Embrace Movement
Beyond the Physical
At Power Plus Wellness, we aspire to create a fitness experience that goes beyond the physical, fostering a judgment-free environment where self-compassion is centered.

Our studios and instructors remind participants that their time in class is a personal journey, where progress is measured not just by strength, endurance, and flexibility, but also in joy, self-compassion, and the simple act of showing up. We emphasize promoting modifications enthusiastically and without shame, ensuring an accessible and inclusive experience for all bodies.

We prioritize creating a safe and inclusive space for all members of our community with no diet culture attached. We respectfully ask instructors and studios to refrain from discussing weight or weight loss in any context. It's important to recognize that weight loss isn't always (or even often) a positive indicator of health and can be influenced by various factors, including mental health and medical conditions.

"At FORM Fitness, we love partnering with Power Plus Wellness to bring strength classes into the mix and offer a safe space for big bodies to feel strong."

HAES®
Aligned
At Power Plus Wellness, we create unique guidelines for studios and instructors rooted in ASDAH’s Health at Every Size® (HAES®) principles, which promote health equity, end weight discrimination, and improve access to quality care for people of all sizes. Research shows the HAES® approach supports better health habits, improved mood, higher self-esteem, and a stronger body image.

Our guidelines are reviewed by plus-size HAES®-aligned doctors, mental health providers, dietitians, advocates, and community peers. They help keep our plus-size members safe from anti-fat harm and give our partners the tools to build truly inclusive spaces.

We partner with studios and instructors who are ready to challenge the status quo and create environments where every body feels safe, seen, and celebrated.
